SIMPLE TO COMPOUND
Look at the sentences given above once again. The first sentence is a simple sentence. A simple sentence can be transformed into a compound sentence by expanding a word or a phrase into a main or a co-ordinate clause using a coordinating conjunction. For example,
• He must work hard to win the scholarship.(simple)
He must work hard and win the scholarship.( Compound)
Here are the transformation of Simple and Compound Sentences. Change simple to compound sentences below.
